Where we
drive from San Diego
Dedicated trucks on direct routes, with the state and route pages below for neighborhoods, drive times and local notes.
Flat rates
by route
Starting rates for a two- to three-bedroom home on a dedicated 26-foot truck with driver and crews at both ends. The number you book is the number you pay: no per-mile surprises, no fuel surcharges, no weight tickets.
Estimate my move costDeposit $200, applied to the total. Full packing adds $400–$800 by home size. Storage-in-transit in San Diego from $99 a month. Larger homes, additional stops and special items are quoted individually.
How long-distance
movers set the price
Knowing what drives the quote makes it easy to compare estimates and to bring your own cost down.
Distance and route
Miles, highway route, tolls and how many driver days the trip takes. Direct Southwest routes are one day; Texas is two to three.
Shipment size
Home size and inventory decide the truck space, crew count and loading hours. Selling or donating a third of what you own before the survey is the single biggest saving.
Packing
Full packing runs $400–$800 by home size on long-distance moves and is recommended for kitchens, art and electronics on multi-day routes. Fragile-only packing is a cheaper middle ground.
Access at both ends
Stairs, elevators, long carries and truck access at pickup and delivery affect crew hours. We never add a stair fee, but we do plan crew size around it.
Delivery date
A flexible window is cheaper to schedule than a fixed date in peak season (May through September and month-ends).
Binding quote, not an estimate
Some movers give non-binding estimates that change at the scale house. One Stop quotes a single flat rate from a visual or video survey, so the price is fixed before move day.
How the move works
01
Quote and inventory
A free in-home or video survey, then a flat rate covering the truck, crew, packing and storage options, with the pickup and delivery dates confirmed.
02
Pack, protect and load
Optional full or fragile-only packing. Furniture blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped, floors and doors protected, inventory and photos before the doors close.
03
Transit
Your dedicated truck drives straight through on a direct route, with the crew lead reachable by phone the whole way.
04
Delivery and placement
Same day or next morning on Southwest routes. Furniture placed by room, beds reassembled, a walk-through before we leave.
Local vs.
long distance
Which service fits depends on where you are going, not how much you own.
Local moving (San Diego County)
Hourly pricing at $129 an hour for two movers and a truck, 15-minute billing, same-day and next-day dates, no travel fee. Best for any move under 100 miles.
Long-distance moving (Southwest and California)
Flat rate on a dedicated truck, multi-day planning, full packing recommended, storage-in-transit available, delivery window agreed before you book.
Cross-country moving
East Coast, Midwest and Pacific Northwest on the same dedicated-truck model, quoted by route and delivery date on the cross-country page.

How much does a long-distance move from San Diego cost?
Long-distance moves are quoted as a flat rate for a dedicated 26-foot truck, driver and crews, based on home size, route and delivery date. Starting rates for a two- to three-bedroom home: Las Vegas $4,500, Phoenix $4,700, Mesa $4,800, St. George $5,200, Salt Lake City $10,600, Austin $10,600, Dallas $11,000. A $200 deposit holds the date.
How do long-distance movers calculate the price?
Distance and route, the size of the shipment (home size and inventory), packing services, access at both ends (stairs, elevators, long carries) and the delivery date all set the price. One Stop quotes a single flat rate from those factors before you book, so there is no weight-ticket surprise afterwards.
Will my belongings share a truck with another family’s?
No. Every long-distance move travels on a dedicated 26-foot truck with only your household on board: no consolidation, no warehouse transfer and no waiting for a full load.
How long does delivery take?
Southwest routes (Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Palm Springs) deliver the same day or the following morning because the truck drives straight through. Texas and other longer routes are scheduled around a direct drive and a delivery date agreed before you book.
What if my new home is not ready?
Storage-in-transit in our San Diego vaults holds the load for days or months at $99 a month and up, then we deliver when you are ready. Month to month, no long contract.
Do you move to the East Coast or Pacific Northwest?
Yes. Coast-to-coast and Pacific Northwest moves are handled on our cross-country moving page with the same dedicated-truck, flat-rate model.
