Can I store a car with One Stop in San Diego?
Yes. One Stop stores cars, from a daily driver during a move to one you won’t need for 6 months or more. Car storage is quoted in writing by the space and the term. If the car stays off public roads for a full registration year, the DMV’s Planned Non-Operation (PNO) status can save the full registration fees.
Keep the car insured while it’s stored, and ask your insurer whether a storage or comprehensive-only policy fits. A stored car still needs its registration handled, either renewed or filed as PNO with the DMV.

How should I prepare a vehicle for storage?
4 things: clean it inside and out, plan for the battery, keep the insurance and registration in order, and send us the vehicle’s size and the term with your quote request. A vehicle that sits for months usually needs a charged battery and correctly inflated tires before it’s back on the road.

- Wash and dry the outside; remove food, trash and valuables
- Top off fluids; ask your mechanic about fuel stabilizer for long storage
- Inflate tires to the spec on the door jamb
- Disconnect the battery or plan to charge it
