All six, from Oceanside south to Del Mar. Each is its own city except Cardiff, which is part of Encinitas, and each card notes the rule or detail that changes a move there.

Can I keep a container on the street in Carlsbad or Encinitas?
Not in Carlsbad: the city says storage pods may not sit in the street or on sidewalks. In Encinitas, a street container needs a construction and encroachment permit. Oceanside uses a Right-of-Way permit, Del Mar caps a container on your lot at 15 days, and in Solana Beach, check with the city.

How much drive time does a North County coastal move add?
Your written Not-to-Exceed price lists the drive between your two addresses with every other charge before move day. Oceanside to Carlsbad is about 8 minutes. Oceanside to Del Mar is about 27 minutes.
Our crews start in Sorrento Valley at 6260 Marindustry Dr. The drive to your first address is part of the arrival window, and the hourly rate is the same anywhere in San Diego County.
Moves along the coast are short hops on I-5; the doubling only adds up on a move that runs the length of the region.

What should I plan for on a North County coastal move?
Coastal North County moves turn on Camp Pendleton report dates, damp marine air for anything stored, and beach-traffic weekends in summer.

The main gate is in Oceanside. On PCS orders, give us your report date early; storage can bridge a housing gap.

What does a long-distance move from North County Coastal cost?
Long-distance moves have one price per city on a dedicated truck: Las Vegas $4,000, Phoenix $4,200, Salt Lake City $6,500 and Dallas $10,600. Any other city: call (858) 633-8600 for today’s price. A shared truck costs $11 per cubic foot, 400 cubic feet minimum.

Transit: Phoenix, Mesa and Prescott 1–2 days; Las Vegas, Henderson and Carson City 1–2; St. George and Salt Lake City 2–3; Austin, Dallas and Houston 3–4. Los Angeles is billed by the hour and the Bay Area is $4,800–$5,200. Shared truck: delivery within 21 days.

Can I store my things during a North County Coastal move?
Yes. A One Stop container on your property is $99 a month (Standard, 8×8×5 ft) or $175 (Large, 8×8×7 ft), with 25 free boxes. Delivery, pickup and storage at our facility are quoted separately, in writing. Storage units in San Diego County start at $245 a month.

Containers are steel and weather-sealed, not climate-controlled, rented month to month. Vault storage is kept at 68–72°F.
Your rights
What protects me on a California move?
California movers are licensed by the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS), which took over on July 1, 2018. A mover may give a written estimate only after a visual inspection. Basic protection pays 60¢ per pound per article.
Check any mover’s permit on the state license search. Ours is CAL-190616.

How long can a container stay on my lot in Del Mar?
Up to 15 consecutive days, four times a year, 60 days a year in total, under Del Mar Municipal Code 30.86.180.
Do you move Camp Pendleton families in Oceanside?
Yes. Give us your report date early; a container or storage unit can hold things until housing is ready.
What does a move from Oceanside to Del Mar cost in drive time?
The drive is about 27 minutes.
