How much does commercial storage cost in San Diego?
A 10×20 unit is $555 a month in San Diego County, a 10×25 is $625 and a 10×30 is $730. Loading into storage is $750 per truck and each access visit is $75. Billing is monthly and not prorated. Climate-controlled vault storage uses the same monthly prices.

Records and files
How long does a business have to keep records?
The IRS says to keep records that support a tax return for 3 years in most cases, 6 years if income was underreported by more than 25%, and 7 years for a bad-debt or worthless-securities claim. Employment tax records need at least 4 years. These are the boxes offices usually send to storage.

Label every box with the department, the date range and the year it can be destroyed. That makes it easy to ask for one box back, or to clear the whole year when its time is up.

Remodels and moves
Can you move and store office furniture during a remodel?
Yes. We move the furniture and equipment out, store it, and bring it back when the space is ready. Taking desks and workstations apart and putting them back together is billed on the clock at the crew rate. A 4-mover crew with a truck is $239 an hour.
Plan the return first. Give us a floor plan with each desk numbered, and label every piece with the same number before it leaves. Setup on return day goes much faster.
Building managers often ask for proof of insurance and an elevator booking. Tell us the building’s rules when you book, so the crew arrives with what the building needs.

Can you store retail inventory and home-staging furniture?
Yes. Shops, online sellers and home stagers can keep overflow stock and staging sets in One Stop units or vaults. We pick up from your shop or the last listing, store it, and deliver to the next address. Each pickup and delivery is quoted in writing.
Staging furniture and upholstered pieces keep better in a vault at 68–72°F than in a hot unit or garage.
Need storage on site instead, at a jobsite or behind a shop? A portable container is $99 or $175 a month on your property, with 24/7 access.

Licensed and insured
Is One Stop insured for commercial jobs?
Yes. One Stop carries $1 million general liability and $1 million workers’ comp, and every crew member is a full-time employee, not a day laborer. We’re licensed by California’s Bureau of Household Goods and Services (CAL-190616) and federally for interstate moves (USDOT 1956864, MC 694565).
Basic protection on goods is included and pays 60 cents per pound per article under California’s Max 4 tariff (Item 136). A 60-lb printer pays at most $36, so ask about added coverage for valuable equipment.
California movers have been licensed by the BHGS, not the PUC, since 1 July 2018. You can check a license on the BHGS movers page.

Loading into storage is $750 per truck. If you also need the office moved, crews are $239 an hour for 4 movers and a truck, $289 for 5 and $339 for 6.
Is commercial storage climate-controlled?
Vaults are climate- and humidity-controlled at 68–72°F and quoted by the space you use. Portable containers are steel and weather-sealed but not climate-controlled.
