How it works
Tell us the ZIP and the date. We set the container level on your driveway with 24 hours’ notice. We check your city’s placement rules before we book the truck.
Ground-level loading, no ramp to climb, and 25 free boxes to start. Take an afternoon or take three weeks. Add a crew of two at $139/hr (3-hour minimum) if you would rather not lift it.
Leave it on your property, have us store it at our facility, or have us move it to your new address anywhere in San Diego County. A move is one $150 round trip, the same charge as delivery.

A 1-Box Standard container is $99 a month and a Large is $175 a month. Delivery and pickup together are a one-time $150 per rental, however long you keep it. Moving the container to our facility or a new address is one $150 round trip, billed like delivery. There is no deposit, and 25 moving boxes are included.
We found no City of San Diego rule requiring a permit for a container on a private driveway. On a public street, the city requires a Traffic Control Permit, and other cities in the county set their own rules. We check the rules for your address before delivery day. See the rules city by city.
We confirm the space your container needs before delivery, based on your driveway and the size you choose. Allow roughly 12 feet of vertical clearance for the delivery truck, and tell us about gates, trees or wires. Two containers fit on a standard two-car driveway.
As long as you need it. Rentals are month to month with no minimum and no exit fee. Most moving customers keep one for one to three months, and remodel customers often keep one for four to six.
The containers themselves are steel, weather sealed and ventilated, not climate controlled. If you are storing anything sensitive to heat or humidity, we can store your items in our climate-controlled vaulted storage instead, for $225 a month. Ask when you reserve.
If the container stays on your property, you have access whenever you want. If we store it at our facility, call ahead and we will have it ready for you during business hours, seven days a week.
A pod comes to you: you load it once at ground level and it is stored or moved sealed. A self-storage unit means driving your things across town and handling them twice. Portable containers cost less in labor and time; storage units make sense if you need daily access.
Typically, yes: your own homeowner’s or renter’s policy usually covers your belongings while they are in the container, and we also offer valuation coverage on the contents for extra protection. Separately, One Stop carries $1 million general liability and $1 million workers’ compensation, which covers our handling, not your belongings directly. We will walk through the options before delivery.
