Pick the Standard (8 ft tall, 8 ft deep, 5 ft wide) for a 1–2 bedroom apartment and the Large (8 ft tall, 8 ft deep, 7 ft wide) for a 2–3 bedroom home. Same height and depth; the Large is 2 feet wider. For a bigger home, ask for a written quote.

Should I keep the container at home or at your facility?
Keep it at home if you want your things within reach: $99 or $175 a month, with 24/7 access on your property. Store it at our facility if you have no room or need the driveway back; that storage is quoted in writing, and facility access is Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM, by appointment.

Placement and permits
Do I need a permit for a storage container in San Diego?
Usually not on private property. On the street, the City of San Diego requires a Traffic Control Permit, valid 7 days, at $87.68 a week plus an $87.68 processing fee (Information Bulletin 718). HOAs may have their own rules. Delivery needs about 30 feet of truck clearance and level ground.

Yes. We ship loaded containers to the 48 continental states, quoted in writing before you book. Arizona, Nevada and the Bay Area take about 2–4 business days; coast to coast about 5–10 business days. Delivery at your new address is included in the shipping quote.

Is a portable container cheaper than a storage unit?
For rent alone, yes: a Standard container is $99 a month at your home, a Large $175, while our San Diego County storage units start at $245 for a 5×10 and $355 for a 10×10, plus $750 per truck to load into storage. The container adds delivery and pickup, quoted for your address.
The bigger difference is handling. With a container you load once, at your door, at ground level. With a storage unit you or a crew load a truck, unload into the unit, and do it again on the way out.

Are portable storage containers secure and weatherproof?
One Stop containers are all-steel and weather-resistant, and you lock them with your own padlock. They are not climate-controlled, so heat- or humidity-sensitive things belong in a climate-controlled space. Contents are covered by your own homeowner’s or renter’s insurance, so check with your insurer.
