Dedicated truck. Packing, a shuttle ($750) or an elevator ($350) are added only when they apply. Transit time is set in your written quote.

Dedicated or shared

Dedicated truck or shared truck: which is cheaper?

To Las Vegas, Phoenix or Prescott a dedicated truck ($4,000–$4,450) costs about the same as the shared-truck minimum of $4,400, so your own truck wins. On long routes a shared truck at $11 per cubic foot costs less for smaller loads: to Dallas ($10,600) it’s cheaper for any load under about 960 cubic feet.

The trade-off is time and handling. A dedicated truck carries only your household and drives straight to your new home. A shared truck carries other customers’ shipments and delivers within up to 21 days.

Packing it yourself? A portable container ships to the lower 48 states, quoted in writing; coast to coast takes about 5–10 business days.
