How much do movers cost in Downtown San Diego?
$139 an hour for two movers and a truck, $189 for three, $239 for four, with 15-minute billing after that. A 1-bedroom condo usually takes 2–3 movers 4 to 5 hours, $556 to $945 in labor. Downtown to North Park is about 7 minutes.
In Downtown, the elevator and the dock usually cost more time than the drive. A booked dock and a reserved elevator keep the crew from waiting, and waiting is billed time.
There are no stair fees. A deposit holds your date.

High-rise and condo moves
How do you move into or out of a Downtown high-rise?
Book 3 things with your building before you book the truck: the freight elevator, a dock or loading-zone time, and the move window. Then send us the certificate of insurance wording; we send the COI, at $1M general liability and $1M workers’ comp. Some buildings want it a week ahead.
We coordinate directly with your HOA, building management or concierge, confirm the move rules before move day, and size the crew and truck to the elevator window so the job fits inside it.
Floors, door frames and elevator walls are protected on every move at no charge. Furniture is blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped before it rides the elevator.

Do I need a city permit for a Downtown move?
Only for what you put in the street. A container in a City of San Diego street or sidewalk needs a Traffic Control Permit (Information Bulletin 718): up to 7 days, $87.68 a week plus $87.68 processing, with signs posted 72 hours ahead. A truck at your building’s dock follows the building’s rules.
Downtown streets are busy, many are one-way, and curb space is tight. The fastest moves start with a building dock or garage slot; ask management first, then plan the street only if you must.
Use the building’s own loading area whenever you can. Waiting for curb space is billed time.

Where can I store things if my Downtown move dates don’t line up?
Short-term storage during a move is included. For longer gaps, San Diego County storage units run $245 to $730 a month, and our vaults are climate- and humidity-controlled at 68–72°F. Loading into storage is $750 per truck and each access visit is $75.
Units bill monthly and are not prorated. When the new place is ready, we deliver into the elevator window you book.

Getting around is easy: I-5 and CA-163 for drivers, and walkable streets, bike lanes, the San Diego Trolley and several bus lines if you want to live without a car.

There are no stair fees. Stairs, long carries and driveway or curb access are counted in the hours on your estimate, so timing and cost are accurate.
Do you move on weekends?
Yes. Crews work 7 days a week, 7 AM to 7 PM, at the same rate. Some buildings restrict weekend moves, so we check your property’s rules in advance.
Do you offer packing, disassembly and short-term storage?
Yes: full or partial packing at crew rates, furniture disassembly and reassembly on the clock, and short-term storage during the move, included.
How far is Downtown from One Stop?
About 15 miles and 21 minutes from our only office, 6260 Marindustry Dr in Sorrento Valley. The hourly rate is the same anywhere in San Diego County.
How long does a Downtown condo move take?
A 1-bedroom usually takes 2–3 movers 4 to 5 hours; a 2-bedroom, 4 to 7. Elevator waits add time, so a reserved elevator and dock keep the hours down.
What deposit holds a Downtown move?
A deposit holds your date. Some HOAs also hold their own move deposit; that one is paid to the building.
